EuroNanomed2 R&D project involving Ferentis

The results of the ongoing REGENERATE project, which also involves Ferentis as a partner, have been reported by Healio.com, an in-depth specialty clinical information website. The project team is developing a novel regenerative medicine and tissue engineering method to treat the limbal epithelial stem cells deficiency of the eye cornea by employing Ferentis’ synthetic collagen mimetic peptide (CMP) hydrogel technology as one of the possible platforms. Ferentis wins two research grants

UAB Ferentis was awarded two research and development grants funded by EU structural funds and Lithuanian government through Intelektas LT and Intelektas LT+ programs. The first grant, amounting to EUR 160 thousand will fund the project “Synthetic matrix for tissue-on-a-chip in vitro models”. The goal is to develop the basic set of materials and processes for assembly of cell culture-based devices that efficiently mimic the environment of biomaterials used in cosmetic, organ repair and regenerative medicine applications. The second grant, for a total of EUR 360 thousand, will fund the enhancement of the research laboratory capabilities of UAB “Ferentis”. More details
